“We’ll have a picnic in our very own kitchen,” said Grami.
“I can hardly wait!” said Tad. “I’ve never been so hungry in my whole life!”
Toni laughed. Grami laughed. Aimi laughed, too. Her arm felt much better.
“I’ve never been so hungry in my whole life!” said Tad again. “When will we get home?”
“Patience, patience, young man,” said Grami. “We’ll be home in ten minutes. I hope you can hold out for ten minutes!”
“Thank you for the pillow,” said Aimi. She looked at her arm in the new pink cast as it rested on Grami’s soft coat. Grami look over at Aimi and smiled. Aimi smiled back at Grami.
