Adventures of Aimi
“Can we go to the library tomorrow and use the computer to learn more things about chimpanzees?” asked Aimi.
“I think that would be an excellent idea,” said Grami. “Do you remember the name of the chimp that DJ told you about?”
“Yes,” said Aimi. “Its name was Ayumu but I’m not sure how to spell it.”
“Ayumu,” said Grami.
“A-y-u-m-u,” Aimi repeated. “I can remember that.”
The following morning, right after breakfast, Aimi asked Grami, “Can we go to the library now and look up information about chimpanzees?”
“Yes, we can,” said Grami. “Take your jacket because sometimes it is quite cool in the library.”
“I will, said Aimi. “And I’ll bring my little notebook in case I want to write down something about chimpanzees. I can tell Tad and Toni and Connor about what I learn.”
One hour later Grami said, “That’s all the time we have to spend at the library today. Take your jacket and notebook and we’ll drive to the grocery store. You can tell me what you learned about chimpanzees as we drive.”
“Okay,” said Aimi. “I learned a lot!” She talked about what she had learned as Grami drove the car.
