One—Startling Screech
“Visual,” repeated Aimi. “Visual people pay attention to how things look.”
“Some people are like Keeto,” said the zoo lady in the zoo uniform. “They pay attention to how things sound. They are very auditory.”
“Auditory,” Aimi repeated. “Auditory people pay attention to how things sound. Do they screech like Peacock?”
“Heavens no!” said the zoo lady in the zoo uniform, laughing. “They don’t screech like Peacock.”
“I’m glad Grami doesn’t screech,” said Aimi, picturing in her mind’s eye how Grami might look if she screeched like Peacock.
“Me, too,” said Grami, smiling down at Aimi. “I definitely do not screech like Peacock
screeches.” “You
don’t screech at all, Grami,” said Aimi. Grami and the zoo lady in the zoo uniform smiled at each other.
