Adventures of Aimi
“Sometimes Tad and Connor play in the back yard with Tad’s rabbits,” said Aimi, “and sometimes Tad plays alone. Sometimes Tad and Connor read books together and sometimes Tad reads books alone. He loves to read stories. He can sit and read books for a very long
time.”
“That’s helpful,” said Grami. “You
know what Tad likes. You may want to look for a book about rabbits as a present for Tad.”
“Toni is always moving,” said Aimi. “She likes to be with all her friends at the same time. Toni likes loud fast music. She likes to jazzercise to loud fast music.”
“That’s helpful, too,” said Grami. “You know what Toni likes. You may want to look for a music CD as a present for Toni.”
“Yes!” cried Aimi. “Then Toni can jazzercise to the music.”
Aimi thought for a moment. “Tad and Toni are twins,” she said again, “but they are also different.”
“Tad may be introverted and
Toni may be extroverted,” said
Grami. “The world needs both types of people. Introverted brains are very alert so they need smaller amounts of stimulation. Extroverts need lots of stimulation to help keep their brains alert.”
“Tad may be introverted and Toni may be extroverted,” repeated Aimi. She looked at Grami.
