Adventures of Aimi
“Uh-oh,” said Grami, hurrying over to where Aimi lay on the hard ground beside the huge jungle gym.
“My arm hurts,” cried Aimi. “It really, really hurts.” “Uh-oh,” said Grami. “Your arm might be broken!” “Uh-oh,” said Toni. “That is not good.”
“Uh-oh,” echoed Tad. “That is not good. Connor
would say that was ‘definitely’ not good!”
“Broken?” cried Aimi. “My arm might be broken?
Oh no!” More big fat tears squeezed out of Aimi’s eyes and rolled down her cheeks. The big fat tears splashed onto her arm.
“We must take Aimi to the hospital right now,” said Grami. “We need to have a doctor in the emergency room look at her arm. Lunch will have to wait.”
Tad and Toni helped Grami stuff the food back into the bulging brown wicker basket. Aimi did not help. Her arm hurt too much and it might even be broken.
