Aimi continued to climb higher and higher and higher on the huge jungle gym. She climbed to the very top and held onto the bars with both hands. Tad kept swinging up in the air and down. Toni kept playing on the merry-go-round.
“I like to swing,” Tad called to Grami. “Thank you for bringing us to the park for a picnic.”
Grami smiled. She was almost finished unpacking the brown bulging wicker basket. When she had placed all the food on the picnic table, Grami called to the children, “Is anyone hungry?”
“I am,” called Toni.
“I’m very hungry,” called Tad.
“Me, too,” called Aimi.
“Then, come and get it,” Grami said, smiling at the
three children.
