Next morning, Aimi answered the door at 10:00 o’clock. “You’re right on time,” she said, as Tad and Toni came into the house.”
“We’ve been invited to go on an adventure,” said Toni. “Of course we’re going to be on time!”
Aimi laughed. “Grami has the picnic lunch all packed in the brown wicker basket.”
“Good morning,” said Grami. “Is everyone ready to go on this adventure?”
“Yes!” cried Toni. “I wore my walking shoes.” “I’m more than ready,” said Tad.
“I have my jacket and sun glasses,” said Aimi. “I’m
ready, too.”
“May I help you carry the brown wicker basket out
to the car?” asked Tad.
“You sure can, Tad,” said Grami. “I appreciate the
offer.”
They carried
the brown wicker basket outside and put it in the trunk. Then Tad and Toni and Aimi climbed into Grami’s car and buckled their seatbelts.
“Here we
go,” said Grami, starting the car and backing out of the driveway. “We’re on our way!”
