Three—Jungle-Gym Catastrophe
“Certainly,” said Grami. “Tell them to be here tomorrow morning at 10:00 o’clock to go on this adventure with you.”
While Aimi was calling Tad and Toni on the candy red cell phone, Grami went into the kitchen to plan a delicious picnic lunch.
“Let me think,” said Grami to herself. “Tad and Toni like sandwiches made with peanut butter and jelly. Aimi likes sandwiches made with peanut butter
and jam, although personally I don’t think there’s much difference in the taste. And I like egg-salad sandwiches. We all like celery sticks
and hummus and chips. And I’ll make a batch of oatmeal- raison cookies.” Grami smiled. The menu was done.
“They can come,” said Aimi, running into the kitchen. “Tad and Toni can come with us tomorrow. They’ll be here at 10:00 o’clock. And I told them to wear walking shoes and to bring jackets and sun glasses.”
“Excellent,” said Grami. “I have the picnic lunch planned. You and I can make it tomorrow morning so everything will be fresh.”
“I am so-o-o-o excited,” said Aimi. She jumped up and down and up and down.
