Aimi told Dr. Stafford about falling from the huge jungle gym. “Grami thought my arm might be broken so she brought me to the hospital. My friends Tad and Toni came with me.”
The doctor with ebony skin and big black eyes smiled at Aimi. “Your Grami was right,” she said. “And I’m glad Tad and Toni came with you. Friends can help a patient feel better.”
“We brought her right here,” said Tad. “We didn’t even wait to eat lunch.” Tad’s stomach rumbled again.
The doctor with ebony skin and big black eyes smiled at Tad as she opened a cupboard on the wall. It was filled with rolls and rolls of casting plaster in many different colors. “What color would you like for your cast, Aimi?” asked Dr. Stafford.
