“I like purple,” said Aimi.
“I like purple, too,” said the orthopedic surgeon, “but I’ve never seen purple in this cupboard. Your choices are white, brown, orange, black, pink, blue, red, or yellow.”
Aimi looked at the rolls and rolls of casting plaster in many different colors.
“I suggest you choose a light color so your friends can sign your cast,” said Dr. Stafford.
“Oh! I want to sign your cast!” said Toni.
“I want to sign your cast, too!” said Tad.
“And Grami?” asked the orthopedic surgeon with
ebony skin and big black eyes. “Do you want to sign Aimi’s cast, too?”
“Indeed I do,” said Grami, smiling at Aimi. “I absolutely want to sign her cast. We all want to sign Aimi's cast. It will be a new experience, although I hope it won’t happen again.”
