Despite unprecedented challenges from the
Covid-19 pandemic, the Dallas Carrousels
continued to “epitomize true sisterhood.”
D allas Zoom has truly been instrumental
Dallas
in keeping us connected each month.
All meetings were virtual. September was about
“Recollections.”
While members shared their summer activities, we reminisced,
remembered, revisited, regrouped, and rejoiced that we were
not having to recover from the dreaded virus.
Masked Affair
On a lighter, happier note, October kicked off with a “Masked Affair” where members dressed in
Halloween costumes complimented by elaborate masks. Carrousel Earlene and Carrousel Katrina
received gift certificates for their imaginative and creative masks.
The meeting was enhanced with the virtual game Kahoot! which was Aretha themed to celebrate the movie
“Respect.” We enjoyed the sweet sounds of soul music while increasing our knowledge about the legacy of
the "Queen of Soul."
