Students will gain a knowledgeable background and experience in prevention, immediate treatment and
rehabilitation of injuries commonly sustained by participants in athletics. Students will learn about
different areas and professions involving sports medicine. This course is designed for students with a desire
to serve in a leadership role and explore such topics as:
● Coaching
● Personal trainer
● Leading on and off the field/court
● Sports economics
● Team ownership
The course will be taught in the classroom.
