Out of Options & Out of Time // Vivian
What happens when your child has a medical need but know
you can’t afford the treatment to make her better? A family in
this situation came to CVHN desperate to find someone who
would perform dental work for their 4 year old, Vivian. After
receiving a quote for thousands of dollars from a local dentist,
they were out of options and frantic to find help. Dr. Hanson
and the CVHN Dental Clinic team was able to
perform some of the dental procedures, but it was
determined that the rest of the dental work that Vivian
needed was too extensive to be completed at the CVHN
clinic. Dr. Hanson reached out to our partner, Sacred Heart Hos-
pital and Dr. Pierce. Dr. Pierce generously donated his services
and completed all of Vivian’s dental work.
Additionally, through Sacred Heart Charity Program, the
extra expenses were covered and the family had no out of
pocket costs.
The total services donated to
Vivian and her family equaled
over $15,000.
