Weight and dimensions
These are important not only for designing the supporting floor but the weight is
also a good indicator (when comparing lead acid batteries) of the true value.
More weight means more lead. Battery weight is often a good reality check by
which to compare batteries. This quality can be used to help spot the over
enthusiastic sales person.

Efficiency
This reflects the ratio between what you put in and what you get back. Lead acid
batteries are typically around 80% efficient whereas other types can offer much
better figures with much lower energy loss. (Bear in mind that you will not be
losing 20% of all your renewable energy generation in a lead acid battery-based
system, because much of it will be used directly without needing to be stored.)
So if you use say 50% of the power at the time of generation and store the
remainder in your battery bank you will incur about a 10% loss.
