                              Future Simple Tense – อนาคตกาล

                      There are common ways of expressing future time in English.

               We form the future simple: โครงสร้าง:

                        Subject + will / shall + infinitive (v1)



                      1.  Will and Shall
               We use will make a prediction or express an opinion about the future.


                        Children will learn English from the age of six.
                        I think most people will need English for their job.


                        I am sure everyone will speak some English.
                      We can use shall for the future, but only in the first person, after I or we.

                        I will be/ I shall be on holiday in April.

                        We will know/ We shall know the results soon.

                      I will and I shall have the same meaning here, but shall is a little formal.        Both

                      I will and I shall can be used in the contracted form I’ll, which is pronounced /ail/.


                      2.  The adverbs (กริยาวิเศษณ์)

               The adverbs  tomorrow, soon, next week, next month, next year, next
                          (Monday, Tuesday) are frequently used with the future tense.


                        I will send the goods tomorrow.
                        We shall learn this subject next week.


                        They will fly to China next month.


                      3. Negatives (ประโยคปฏิเสธ)
                      Negatives: will not = won’t; shall not = shan’t

                        I’ve tried to give her advice, but she won’t listen.

                        The car won’t start. I wonder what is wrong with it.
