Located on West Mobile Street in Florence is Jack’s Place Bistro. At first it seems like your classic Southern
lunch visit, the special was a double decker club, so I jumped on it. The club was loaded with ham, bacon, fresh salad greens and tomatoes. Jenni enjoyed a Cuban sandwich, which was the perfect balance
of flavors.
Don’t forget to ask your server what
Jack has up his sleeve for dessert. It changes daily, and we got lucky with homemade car- rot cake. This Southern girl and dessert con- noisseur wants to go on record that Jack’s carrot cake was the best she has ever eaten. Each bite was filled with deliciousness. I think I even shed a tear when I realized I had taken the last bite. It was that good.
The decor lets the food be the star. It’s simple and classic, and celebrates Jack’s

mac and cheese with bacon, to a grilled bonelesss pork chop with a delicious maple mustard glaze. The menu also offers several flat breads that are sure to tickle your tastebuds.
