During our travels we’ve always focused on keeping things local. That
means staying local, which usually involves a bed and breakfast. However, when we were researching Florence we discovered two boutique hotels. Both are conveniently located downtown.
The Stricklin has 24 guest rooms, each with a
king-sized bed and beautiful industrial fixtures. Every room includes keyless entry,
complimentary WiFi,
smart TVs, Keurig coffee makers, and mini fridges. You also have access to a 24/7 business center with a printer.
We loved the exposed brick in our room and the marble accents in the bathroom. It’s a beautifully designed hotel.
On property there are two incredible restaurants to enjoy. First is Big Bad Breakfast, which is on the first level of The
Stricklin. It’s the most incredible breakfast joint we’ve ever eaten at, and the location made it
so convenient.
Then, in the basement you have The Boiler Room. This is a place to go for dinner or a drink at the end of the day. The atmosphere is high energy and the design matches the industrial feel of The Stricklin rooms. Just like with Big Bad
Breakfast, you can’t get a much more convenient location.
Staying at The Stricklin allows
you to stay local without sacrificing the amenities of the big chain hotels. You’re also perfectly situated in downtown Florence, close to all of the action. The Stricklin also has space to hold private parties or receptions.
