false facades. In Vedantic terminology, the spirit has been separated from the  ve sheaths (physical, vital, mental, intellectual and causal) and the three bodies (physical, astral and causal). These do not belong to the spirit; they belong to the not-Self.
You have become truly “poor in spirit” when you have attained the intuitive realization that you are not the body, mind, senses, intellect or ego—you are the Supreme Spirit, the Divine Self, the very center and substratum of all that exists. As such, you have nothing to own. Indeed, nothing other than your Self exists. The spirit alone is. God alone is. The Divine Self alone is. This is the meaning of the Vedantic assertion, “Nothing exists. Nothing belongs to me.” All that you possessed has vanished. You have realized that they were all illusions. There is utter annihilation of the world-process.
As it is said in Ishavasya Upanishad:
Ishavasyamidam sarvam yatkinchit jagatyam jagat; Tena tyaktena bhunjithah ma gridhah kasyaswiddhanam.
“In this great world, whatsoever exists is permeated by God.
Being united with God, being rooted in God, renounce and enjoy...”
