a subject. However, since you cannot argue with God, Narada followed Lord Vishnu’s instructions and went to the forest.
It was early morning. The mist had lifted and the rays of the sun had warmed the forest. A little squirrel was there, jumping up and down and cracking nuts in the tree. Narada looked up and asked the squirrel if he would please give him insight into the glory of satsanga. The squirrel gazed intensely at Narada then suddenly fell from the tree and died. Narada was shocked and felt great sympathy towards that tender little creature. He returned to Vishnu and said, “Oh Lord, I could not receive any teachings about satsanga from the squirrel. He died before answering my request.”
Lord Vishnu responded, “I still do not have time to give you an explanation, but please return to that same tree. This time, you will  nd a monkey who will relate to you the wondrous attributes of satsanga. Narada was not very enthusiastic about being instructed by a monkey. Nevertheless, again he went to that particular tree in the forest, looked up and found a monkey playfully bouncing from branch to branch, making strange sounds. Narada told the monkey he had been sent by Lord Vishnu to ask him about the glory of satsanga. The monkey immediately became very calm and serious; all his limbs relaxed.
