world. Rather, it is the inner world based upon the unconscious structure of the mind, and the conscious reactions to the circumstances that exist outside. Therefore, if you are to experience peace and joy, you must make a profound adjustment within yourself. The problem of world peace cannot be encountered in the outer world. It dwells in the human heart, where it must be tackled, confronted and resolved.
Yoga philosophy proclaims that the innermost reality of man is not individual but cosmic. Deep within your heart lies your true identity. What you think you are is not really who you are. Christ told His disciples, “I and the Father are One” and “The Kingdom of Heaven is within thee.” In the Old Testament of the Bible, Moses asked God, “What is your name?” And God answered, “I am That am I.” That “I am” is an internal awareness of God’s presence in your heart. In other words, your real identity is the Divine Self or Brahman. You are essentially One with God. That Self that underlies your personality also underlies the personalities of all other living beings and, indeed, the entire world-process.
Deep down we all have an innate yearning to discover unity in existence and our unity with God. No matter how long it takes, no matter how many embodiments we may have, the  nal destination for
