when you crucify your very ego for the sake of union with God. Unlike the devastating effects of atomic explosions, this outburst of spiritual energy radiates uplifting, elevating and inspiring vibrations for centuries to come, and countless souls, touched by those vibrations, become blessed.
Sages and Saints—The Ideal Children of God
It is by Self-realization alone that one is able to truly resolve the root of all problems within the heart and, in turn, become a channel of the sublime actions, thoughts and insights that are most effective in promoting peace and harmony in the world. Therefore, enlightened Sages and Saints are indeed the most perfect Children of God.
They enjoy the Peace of the Self—the peace that “passeth all understanding.” They are the fountain source of harmony for the world. In them the howling waves of negative thoughts are silenced, the very storm of the mind is stilled as the soul seeks its communion with God in transcendental silence. Self-realized personalities live to bring love where there is hate, clarity where there is confusion, understanding where there is quarrel and tension, joy where there is sorrow, harmony where there is discord and dissension, and light where there is darkness.
