reminds you of that potential. Deep within lies the incorruptible Self, the taintless Spirit, the pure Atman, and you can realize that Atman even within this lifetime.
The Judgment Day—The Second Coming of Christ
Christianity describes the Judgment Day as the time when virtuous souls enter the Kingdom of Heaven and enjoy everlasting Bliss, while vicious souls are thrown into the eternal res of hell. Lord Jesus relates in St. Matthew (12:36), “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” This statement indicates that every karma (action performed by thought, word or deed) is judged by a Divine Law. Virtue brings its reward through happiness and prosperity, and vice bears its fruit through pain and misery.
The highest judgment, however, is the attainment of that state wherein every soul is eternally free of the relativity of virtue and vice. Therefore, the Judgment Day implies the attainment of Liberation, characterized by the ultimate victory of the forces of light and the annihilation of the forces of darkness.
From an esoteric point of view, the Judgment Day does not take place during a speci c point in time, but can occur for an individual at any time.
