There is nothing as thrilling as melting the heart of a cruel person with goodness and seeing him become a compassionate and virtuous person. Such a genuine transformation could not result from your being harsh or cruel.
Tapping into the Source of the In nite Power Within
Violence is a method of compulsion arising from a weak, fearful and impatient mind. Nonviolence is an expression of a highly integrated personality that arises from a strong, perceptive mind. To cultivate nonviolence within your own heart, learn to search deep within to discover the roots of mental agitation and fear that result from fault nding judgments against yourself and others. If the debilitating hatred you feel for another person could be transformed and transcended, imagine how much energy you would have! Imagine what could be accomplished if you refused to waste any more energy on directing anger and hatred towards another! Such is the challenge before every spiritual aspirant.
