Until one is evolved enough to experience true Cosmic Consciousness and Divine Love, one needs interpersonal relationships and family involvements to help awaken the desire for this lofty form of love. A human being must be creatively ful lled. If you do not experience a deeper form of inspiration on the higher mental and spiritual levels, then you begin to explore the creative urges on the physical and instinctual planes. Nature continues to awaken within you the idea of loving the Self—a love that can be dif cult to understand—by manifesting the more easily understood varieties of love in the world: passionate love, parental love, love between friends, love between a teacher and a student, etc.
If one becomes captured by the illusion of physical pleasure, it is possible to forget that you are not merely a biological personality. You are a human being with the possibility of transcending biological instincts and enjoying the Bliss of intuitive understanding. When the mental energy traveling through the senses is redirected by intuitive understanding, your thoughts become clear and your mind develops sensitivity to the deeper harmony inherent in all that is. You now delight in a far more profound joy in life.
