CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT
The CCU processes overall control tasks of the train and is not redundant. It
performs train management functions, which mainly comprise monitoring, diagnostic
functions and on a higher level the control of the multiple train unit. Furthermore on that
level the different sub-systems are processing their own tasks to a large extend
independently from the CCU.
