CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT

The CCU processes overall control tasks of the train and is not redundant. It

performs train management functions, which mainly comprise monitoring, diagnostic functions

and on a higher level the control of the multiple train unit. Furthermore on that level the

different sub-systems are processing their own tasks to a large extend independently from the

CCU.

The bus link with the CCU is mostly used for monitoring and diagnostic and control

functions. Additionally vital control functions are realised by the Conventional Control System.
