The Auxiliary Converter Unit is responsible for supplying:
3AC 400V, 50Hz system for the three-phase AC consumers for each unit (heating,
ventilation, air conditioning, traction cooling, auxiliaries, etc.)
DC 110V for DC consumers (lights, control devices, etc.) and for
charging the battery. (The 24V DC supply is realized by local 110/24 V DC/DC
converters)
The ACU contains all the components for supply of the auxiliaries, including the
battery charger.
