Aviation Forecasts
and Observations Summer is here and the museum is certainly feeling
the effects! We’ve had an exponential increase in
visitors over the last week, from families and day
camps, to tourists and locals alike. Many have taken
advantage of this week’s admission by donation of a
non-perishable item for the Edmonton Food Bank as
we celebrate the city-wide 22nd Annual Historic
Festival and Doors Open. The festival is organized by
the Edmonton & District Historical Society, you can
learn more about them here. It’s been nice to see so
many new faces and lots of young visitors learning
about Edmonton’s aviation history and having fun. In
recent days we’ve had visitors from across Canada,
the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom,
Turkey, Sweden, and India. They’ve been some of the
first to see “The Wall”, the exciting first step in the
revitalization of the museum’s de Havilland Mosquito
display.
