Movie Pick of the Month
This documentary follows a mission into the Burmese
jungle to recover the remains of a RCAF crew of six
young Canadians lost during World War II. Their lives
and wartime experiences are recalled through the
memories of colleagues and families, who attend the
emotion-laden funeral near Rangoon, where the men
have finally been laid to rest with full military honours.
2017 CANADIAN VIDEOGAME AWARDS
Ottawa will be the place to be for gamers in 2017. The
Canadian Videogame Awards will be coming to Ottawa
in November 2017. In addition to the gala celebrations
at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, the Ottawa
2017 Bureau will host a national championship for
gamers. Semi-finals and final matches will be projected
in monumental proportions onto buildings across the
city.

Top Flight Award:
The Manitoba Aviation Council fosters an
environment in which Manitoba aviation may
prosper. In doing so, the council promotes, facilitates
and protects the development of all facets of
aviation in the province of Manitoba. Since 2006 one
very important way the council accomplishes part of
their mission is to recognize an individual or
organization who made significant contributions to
Manitoba’s aviation or aerospace interests.
At this time we are now accepting nominations for
the 2018 Top Flight Award.
