During recent open houses, we have had some
interesting visitors. Two elderly gentlemen were amongst
The Prairie Heritage Air Show Society has
the visitors. When speaking with first of these men, we
announced that they are looking at hosting the
found out that he had worked on the fuel systems of the
Avro Arrow at Downsview. 2018 “Sentimental Journey” B17 Tour

A little later, the second man arrived with his family and Watch for dates in the near future!
With this and many more new acts, 2018 is starting
he also told us that he also had worked on the fuel
systems as a contractor. We introduced the two which to shape up to be another stellar year for
was quite remarkable after 60 years had passed. Also, Saskatchewan.
We hope to see you all at an event near you!
during a previous open house an elderly man with his
family told us an interesting story. At the time the Avro
Arrow was being test flown, he was in the RCAF and had
won the competition for design of the squadron crest
that would be the first squadron to receive the aircraft.

And finally, a gentleman who had worked on the Arrow
program provided us with some photographs of the
original plywood mock-up of the Arrow nose section.

We continue to receive information about former
employees and contractors who worked for Avro Canada
during the time the Avro Arrow was being built and
        produced.
