ting me, I guess I'll just Light on his nose and see what the matter is
with him. What J Why he ieems to be an awfully sensitive sort of
a mail, or else he has got a dreadful temper. Why, he actually hit
his own nose a slap just because I crawled around on it a bit. Oueei
sort of a chap, anyway. Wonder if he thinks a fly has no rights in
                         lb is world.
^ Now. [ will try him hi the ear. Ah 1 T have got him now i Good
gracious! he came within ail ace of hitting me that time. Wonder
what he means, anyhow ? I should think he was mad about some
thing. I'll try his other ear and see how he likes that. Ah ! he
don't seem to mind this one so mncli. Ah J by Jingoes, he must
have hurt himself that time with that bat on the ear. But it's his ear,
not mine, so what should I care?
I think III fly around the room! See him floo and fling his arms
                                          ' M. O '
around as though the air was full of flying demons. Funny, isn't it?
11c don't see me up here, but he is looking wildly around as though
he wanted to fight somebody. Oh! I ll just try his tempera bit
further; III get on where his hair is short behind. Ah J III fool
around here in this stubble awhile, Now he flops Ins handkerchief,
but I doivt care for that. I can get away from a demonstration of
                         that kind every time.
Now I liave got llim on tne ear again, and on:e more he paws the
air in the immediate vicinity, but 1 am out of harm’s way, ha ! ha ]
Now he is red in the focc; yes, he looks like a boiled lobster, and
again he is dancing around the room and swearing like a trooper 1
■Now he has quieted down a trifle and has resumed writing again!
Ah 1 he smiles ! Must be he lias got oil to an idea. I wonder what
it is ? Ill just take a quiet walk over that think ery again, and maybe
I can catch on to what it is, What in the world is lie making his
scalp go this ■way for? I wTouId think he was trying to shake some
thing off! Oh ! Ill just get a grip on here and hold on for awhile.
                         No. he can't shake me ofT; no, tio \ A h -----!
There was a resounding wh^ck— that lively fly, oh where was he?
                         Dead !
