1. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
1.1 Referrals
a. Across the industry, Guru & Jana is a well-known name for Internal Audits. Our clients have
expressed their satisfaction & happiness regarding our working mechanism, review/monitoring
by the Engagement Partners, process of conclusion of the audit and suggested improvements
provided to bridge the process gaps. They are happy with our constant thrive to add value. A major
part of our clientele is through existing client references, investors & peers. Our close alliance with
our investors and their associates helps us in providing the requisite service with utmost
professionalism.
b. We also diverge in providing additional services to same client based on the credibility of the initial
service provided which opens doors to more scope of work with the same client.
c. In various clientele’s, where the leading chartered accountancy firms/MNC's are statutory
auditors or advisors, we have been recommended/preferred as Internal Auditors.
1.2 Inquiries
a. References are communicated to the partner in charge.
b. On receipt of details, Engagement Partner has a call or face to face meeting to understand
the nature of services required. During this meeting, Engagement Partner understands
nature of services required, such as:
i. Inquiries with management / TCWG / Investor
ii. Relevant industry, regulatory and other internal & external factors applicable to the
entity
iii. The nature of the entity, including: EP
• its operations;
• its ownership and governance structures;
• business structure,
iv. Obtaining an understanding of existing internal control framework and its relevance
to the audit
v. Obtaining an understanding of the information system, related business processes,
relevant to Internal audit and other management services
1.3 Guru Jana Profile
Guru Jana profile will be circulated to the personnel who makes the inquiries with partners
of the firm, which will give the information about the firm. It contains the profile of partners, EP
umbrella services and work flows
