Education
Throughout the Dallas Chapter mothers and children will explore and learn various aspects of
financial literacy. The age groups have planned several financial activities which are age appropriate
for each group. The Cherubs will learn about the value of fun of saving money and make piggy banks
to entice their savings. The Lads and Lassies will learn of financial principles while tour of the
Downtown Branch of Chase Bank learning the basics of ATM and checking and get the opportunity
to tour the “vault”/safe deposit boxes . The Junior and Senior Teens will visit a local car dealership
and explore all cost associated with care ownership (purchase price, financing, insurance, gas,
maintenance, and car depreciation). They will learn how to estimate a car’s true value, it depreciation
and understand its resale value. Many members also participated in the SW Suburban Dallas
Leadership conference, which covered many financial principles also along with The financial
module #9 Here Today, How Much for Tomorrow.
