INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW act!
Q.In simple words what is act!
A.Atlas Copco Together aims to replace our legacy IT systems such as BPCS with a standard
SAP solution.
act! is aimed at driving structural
development for customer centers
by aligning all common processes
and building a common backbone
system.
Q.How will act! Impact our daily lives in PTCC?
A.Basically in Atlas Copco we have a decentralised organisation structure and there are various
ERPs used in different countries and in different divisions for example (BPCS / Scala / SAP /
Movex etc). In the act! project, the Atlas copco group has decided to go ahead with one
common ERP in all BA’s across all markets and countries, across all brands and all customer
centers which will bring standardization in all common processes. In this wave Atlas copco
group is targeting India, Bangladesh, China, Korea, Hong-kong, Taiwan.
