With the bundle entirely off your fingers, make a
                    third  set  of  wraps,  the  same  in  number,  around

                    and through where the two bundles of cord meet.
                    It will take some time to tighten and form the ball
                    into its final spherical shape. Be sure to tuck the

                    end inside the knot to hide it.








                Simple Chain Sinnet (Monkey Chain)

                Chain  sinnets,  of  which  there  are  quite  a  few,  have  in

                common  one  or  more  strands  that  are  formed  into  loops
                successively tucked into each other. A chain sinnet could be

                used to shorten a cord, as lanyard knots sometimes are, but
                this  simple  chain  sinnet  also  creates  the  decorative  gold

                braid  seen  on  military  uniform  caps  and  shoulders.  It  is
                sometimes  known  as  the  trumpet  cord,  since  it  decorates
