Tuck a second loop of the cord through the first
loop as shown in the photograph. An over-hand
with draw loop has now been tied in the cord.
The simple chain sinnet is the chain sinnet most often
used in the world of knot tying. In addition to being
decorative, it also serves, when tied loosely, as a method of
packing short pieces of cord or rope in a manner that
prevents tangling, a useful device for campers, climbers,
and boaters. This method allows the cord or rope to be
untied from the chain with ease. Once tied, the cord
assumes an interesting elasticity.
