INTERVIEW WITH THE CHAIRMAN OF BAŞTAŞLAR AND THE CREATOR OF SUN VALLEY

It might not come as a surprise to you that behind a great development there must be a really good developer. Sun Valley is the creation of the multi award winning and long established developer Baştaşlar Construction.
Behind Baştaşlar Construction you will find third-generation owner Mr. Ahmet Baştaş together with his sister Ms. Sinem Baştaş. Together they have created wonderful homes for hundreds of international residents among the years.
We asked a few questions to Chairman Mr. Ahmet to give our readers an idea about how Sun Valley was first created and what is truly in the mind of the creator of this fabulous community.
• Mr. Ahmet, how and where did the story of Sun Valley begin?
When I saw the land in the mountainside for the first time, I knew straight away that I needed to buy it and start building apartments. We originally started with Pine Valley Village, a relatively small collection of apartments in the mountain. We designed contemporary, oversize, apartments and they became immediately popular with Scandinavians. We listened to their desires and we decided to continue to produce better and better product to meet our customers desires and expectations.
Eventually I also found the perfect seaside location and there we first created Cove Village. Our clients equally love both the mountainside project and the seaside project so we took a decision last year to combine the two projects and create one overriding brand that could continue forever. This is how Sun Valley started and both my team and I still have a much bigger vision for this community. Personally, I want everyone who lives in Sun Valley, doesn’t matter which village, to feel that they are a part of the best lifestyle community in North Cyprus that everyone wants to be a part of.
