European Pharmacopoeia monographs describe both the individual and general quality standards for ingredients, dos-
age forms and methods of analysis for medicines. These standards apply to medicines for both human and veterinary
use. HPS now offers Guide 34 standard solutions acceptable for limit tests as outlined in Chapter 4.1.2 of the European
Pharmacopoeia.
