his year’s Enthusia was graced by Para-Badminton athlete
Manasi Joshi. She spoke to the attendees about her inspiring
story of resilience and courage in the face of adversity. She
said that sports helped her get through her difficult times and
encouraged the students of VJTI to participate in sports, since these
are the memories that one cherishes for the rest of their lives.

Over 65 colleges participated in the sport action. For the first time,
Enthusia held the College Cup tournament, in which the Cup was
awarded to the Atharva College of Engineering based on
           performance across specific sports events.

The most thrilling part of Enthusia was the inter-department Championship. The 11 departments within the
VJTI campus battled over the course of 8 days across 18 sport events to stand a chance at being crowned
Champions. The pride, glory and honour of the department was at stake. This resulted in a highly intense
and competitive atmosphere where participants battled for their department. The spectators too played their
role by vociferously cheering for their comrades, which made the department battles even more special. In
the end, the Electrical department came out on top as outright Champions, dethroning two-time champ
           Mechanical department.
Enthusia has been synonymous with its annual Marathon and Cyclothon events held during the winter season
aiming at bringing communities together to spark change in our society. The Enthusia Marathon was held
on Sunday 4th December 2016. The 5K and 10K marathons witnessed a large number of people across all age
groups running for a social cause while also promoting the message of a clean and healthy social life. The
money raised through the Marathon will be used for painting classrooms in a municipal school. These efforts
were supported by Eyova Hair Nutrient.

Another hugely successful event, which witnessed massive participation and support, was the Enthusia
Cyclothon that aimed at creating awareness about cycling as a means of improving fitness. This event took
place on Sunday 11th December 2016 and was open to all age groups. Bharat Cycle Co and Firefox lent their
support to the Cyclothon by providing cycles to the event participants for taking a joyride around the beautiful
tree-lined streets of our dear old Matunga.

Enthusia is so much more than just a regular sports event. It is a celebration of fellowship and sportsmanship.
It represents the spirit of VJTI and our unwavering passion to promote sports in Mumbai. It represents the
ability of unifying communities through the love of sports.
