  PITCHING TO A BRAND
Talk about what you admire about the company or their products.Include links to your content where you have used their products (Youtube, Instagram).
Introduce yourself by talking about your accomplishments, and a little bit about yourself (the best information about you) but make this part short and sweet.
Bold keywords to highlight important points and words.
Show them the numbers by adding links to your social media.
Brands receive hundreds of pitches, so make sure to link your page or website.
Attach your media kit.
Show ideas by creating a campaign and telling the company what you could do in your content. This means giving the company a breakdown of the storyline and vision for the campaign.
Make sure that the idea is on brand, and your audience aligns with your ask. This means looking at your audience and target demographic as well as the company’s to ensure that it would be a good fit for both of you.
PITCHING FOR A JOB OR POTENTIAL CLIENT
Whenever you pitch yourself, there is always a list of key elements to include:
Introduce yourself: Talk about your accomplishments, your location, upcoming jobs. Include links: Make sure that you portfolio, website, and social media are all linked.
Attach images: Always attach a few images of your work in addition to including links. This is because it is easier for a brand or client to quickly look at an attachment as opposed to clicking a link.
Example: If you are pitching to a bride, congratulate them, introduce yourself, and send them links to your work with images attached. In the email, give them a reason as to why you are a great fit (create an emotional connection). For example, say that you have worked with many brides and you know how to create the most beautiful bridal makeup, then offer to book a consultation with them over the phone to discuss further details, and finish with your contact information.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Public relations is defined as how a company is viewed by the public. In the beauty industry, when people say PR (public relations) they may be referring to either the people in PR (agencies that brands hire, or in-house) or the free products that a company sends out. Reach out to PR personnel through email to pitch yourself. To find people who work in PR for a brand, check LinkedIn, or simply google the brand name + PR.
