   INSTAGRAM
Make sure your instagram is a business profile so that you can promote in the bottom corner of your post. Direct people to your website to make sales/book clients/get their email addresses. On Instagram, videos reach more people, and the best type of video is a raw video. For example, if you’re promoting a wedding service, make it look like you’re just talking casually so that it doesn’t appear ‘salesy’. Make sure to use Instagram stories, posts, and reels.
MAILING LISTS
A mailing list is a collection of email addresses in a database that you can then reach through email blasts.
Platforms to use: Wordpress, Wix, Mailchimp, and many more. Mailchimp is free, but you can also pay to reach more people. When I launched my free Masterclass, I was able to collect over 600 email addresses, and then was able to keep them in my Mailchimp account. You can then sync this to your website. You can include links to your offers or products - this is a great way to get more traction.
Launching: An email list is key for promoting a more successful and powerful launch. This is because when you have a collected mailing list, you already have the perfect clientele. Then when you’re ready to launch something (whether it’s an offer or a product) you can reach people who already know and trust you. Having that connection established makes it easier to reach the perfect clients. Experts agree that email marketing is one of the best ways to secure new clients (even better than social media).
HOW TO BUILD A MAILING LIST
Create a free offer in exchange for an email address. Collect from your own inbox. For example, your own clients. Copy those contacts that are already your clients.
Host a giveaway: For example, on Instagram you can ask people to drop their email below for a giveaway.
Landing page on your website: This is what people will see when they click on your offer and ‘land’ on your website. Make sure that it doesn’t overwhelm the viewer. You want this to be an easy way for people to opt-in. Describe who you are in a few sentences, and make it trendy (attractive).
STEPS FOR CONVERTING FOLLOWERS TO EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS:
Create a Call to Action: This is to create a sense of urgency. For example, early bird rates, or saying “I only have 3 weekends available in 2021 - book now!”
Have an Incentive: Make your offer so good that they want to book right away. For example, “Book now and get 10% off (24 hours ONLY!!)”. If you make an offer that lasts too long, people won’t feel that sense of urgency.
Promote: You can pay to promote a freebie and take action in your Instagram. Any marketing dollars can be written off during taxes. This is a great way to bring in new customers. For example, the freebie could be “Find out what my top five favourite brushes are”.
