MERRIMAC WI
And if you forgot anything while visiting Merrimac, no worries, Charlie’s Lakeside Country Store has everything one would need, including rewood, shing supplies, seasonal specialties, Amish baked goods, vegetables, groceries, and adult spirits.
After exploring, rejuvenate your soul with exceptional food and spirits. H’s Place is the place for the original deep-dish pizza, but locals say their Friday night sh fry is the best around, but Candy’s Merrimac Café may challenge that, as her sh fry is well-liked, along with comfort foods, light salads, and an excellent breakfast menu. If a pub burger is what you are craving, there
is no better burger and fries than Ferry X-ing Bar and
Grill. No matter the season, Devil’s Head Resort is a
food destination in itself. The Cornucopia Restaurant is
an exquisite dining experience, serving steak, sh, and
poultry entrees. Dinner reservations are recommended.
Dantes Restaurant, located slope slide in the main lodge,
is a family restaurant where freshly grilled entrees are
cooked, along with a breakfast menu featuring traditional
favorites. Open on weekends and holidays, the Avalanche
Bar & Grill is a great place for lunch, serving pizza and sub sandwiches, and of course “beer buckets” and daily drink specials are plenty. Speaking of drinks, Mac’s Pub & Grub is a local favorite, and a good spot to experience a Wisconsin Happy Hour, while enjoying traditional bar food, including Wisconsin cheese curds and fried green beans.
From shing, boating, hiking, biking, and skiing, Merrimac has something that the whole family will enjoy. We know, once you visit, you will call Merrimac “Your Happy Place” and may want to return for special events. If you need an event space, the Old Schoolhouse is your place for private events or weddings. This space sits on ve acres with beautiful bluff views and offers both historic indoor and outdoor spaces. Whether visiting once or staying a lifetime, we are excited that you chose to explore our piece of paradise in the heart of Lake Wisconsin.
