Devil’s Lake has over 29 miles of trails for any skill level including amazingly scenic sections of the National Ice Age Trail. Trails vary in dif culty from easy to quite challenging. Trails are not maintained in winter.
FERRY BLUFF STATE

Ferry Bluff and the adjacent Cactus Bluff, tower more than
300 feet above the con uence of Honey Creek and the Wisconsin River. Ferry Bluff is open to hiking only and is closed from November 15 - March 31 to protect bald eagle roosting sites.

The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a thousand-mile footpath that
is entirely within Wisconsin and is one of only eleven National Scenic Trails. In Sauk County, it travels from Merrimac to Baraboo and passes through unique geological features and diverse ecological habitats, giving hikers an excellent experience of glacially shaped valleys, bluffs and drumlins. The Blackhawk Unit contains miles of hiking, horseback riding, and cross country ski trails and features the Blackhawk Indian battle eld and Native American ef gy mounds.
NATURAL BRIDGE

Natural Bridge State Park
features Wisconsin’s largest natural arch. Directly beneath the arch is a rock shelter once used
by Paleo-Indians. Natural Bridge State Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
PARFREY’S GLEN
STATE NATURAL AREA COUNTY HWY DL, MERRIMAC
Parfrey’s Glen is Wisconsin’s rst state natural area. At its uppermost part, the glen reaches a depth of nearly 100 feet and embraces a mountain-type stream owing through its oor. The Glen contains rare ora of the Driftless Area.

The Sauk City Riverwalk is a 1.8 mile paved path along the Wisconsin River in Sauk City.
