40 Andromeda: Kind sir, you have returned a life to me I

41 Perseus: Give me your hand, then, and I will protect you on your
journey through life.
42 Andromeda: Who are you, kind sir?
43 Perseus: I am Perseus, son of Danae.
44 Andromeda: Oh. (sympathetic) Then I am sorry, sir, for you.
45 Perseus: Why so? I just found you. I’m the luckiest man alive.
46 Andromeda: Don’t you know what has happened to
your mother?
47 Perseus: No, how is she?

her in the dungeon to punish her.

Lights dim.

Lights up at the palace of Polydectes, where Polydectes sits on a throne
surrounded by lords, ladies, and guards.
