                                             journey through life.

42 Andromeda: Who are you, kind sir?

43 Perseus: I am Perseus, son of Danae.

44 Andromeda: Oh. (sympathetic) Then I am sorry, sir, for you.

45 Perseus: Why so? I just found you. I’m the luckiest man alive.

46 Andromeda: Don’t you know what has happened to
                                             your mother?

47 Perseus: No, how is she?

48 Andromeda: She refused to marry Polydectes, so he put
her in the dungeon to punish her.

49 Perseus: (angrily) The king has gone too far! Come, we
                                             will reverse this wrong.

Lights up at the palace of Polydectes, where Polydectes sits on a throne

surrounded by lords, ladies, and guards.

51 Polydectes: Perseus, you live to see another day! How very clever
                                             you are!

52 Perseus: King Polydectes, this is Andromeda. (Andromeda bows.)
