MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

As most of you are probably aware, this year we have been involved in a comprehensive strategic
planning process. It has been a major eort in which our Board of Trustees, Directors, teachers, sta,
parents, and students have shared ideas and worked very focused in developing the next stage of our
long-range vision for the School. Our new Strategic Plan outlines key initiatives that build on our
PLAN
successes, and charts a course that will take us to new levels of excellence in education.
ESTRA
This planning process, which included feedback from more than 500 participants, has provided our
school with the necessary direction to construct the nal plan, which was ratied by the Board of
Directors on December 6th, 2017. The plan that we have developed will guide the school for the next
four years and allow us to concentrate on four main goals for focused growth including the
development of a plan to ensure: a world class academic program, a transformative Jewish
experience, an engaged community, and solid model of government.

Working very closely with our Directors Dr. Holden and Rabbi Hilu and their outstanding and capable
leadership team and gifted sta, the Board of Trustees looks forward to strengthening our School
community - in partnership with our parents, alumni, and the wider Jewish community here in
Panama - forging new opportunities and embracing new ideas as we work together to achieve our
goals.

I am grateful to each of the numerous participants who have readily contributed and dedicated their
time, feedback, thoughtful analysis and opinions to this exercise. Most of all, I have relished this
opportunity to be fully immersed in IAE's community of highly committed, incredibly competent and
caring people.

IAE has risen to a dierent level now and will continue to grow academically every year. With
professionalism we have taken the necessary steps to plan for the future and will become an
institution of worldwide prestige and recognition.

To all of you for letting me lead this process, my abiding gratitude.
