P. 3
MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Our mission at IAE is to deliver an exemplary and inspiring Jewish education to our students. We seek
to grow condent, compassionate thinkers who engage the world through Jewish values as
members of a vibrant, caring, moral community based upon the concepts of ahra yut and areivut. We
believe that lifelong learning is inspired by a comprehensive academic program of general and Judaic
studies that prioritizes critical thinking, independent thought, and creative expression. (Torah
Lishmah).
This Strategic Plan outlines our desire to create educational programs that develop knowledge of and
appreciation for the wisdom, spiritual depth, and ethical guidance of Judaism. (Ahavat Torah)
Through the development of excellent Judaic programs we are committed to developing a sense of
deep commitment to B’tzelem Elokim (each individual is created in the image of G-d), and Derekh
Eretz (ethical decency) within each child.
Our Jewish Life activities are designed to create a strong bond with the Jewish people – past, present,
and future. We know that our students must have a personal and ongoing relationship with Israel, its
history, people, and culture. An appreciation for and mastery of Hebrew as the language and voice of
the Jewish people. (Ahavat Yisrael)
Above all, we hope that this document helps forge a path forward for our entire educational
community to genuinely feel G-d’s presence in the wonder of our world and how we can enrich our
lives through the practice and experience of the mitzvot. (K’dushah)
As one school community, we are committed to developing a community that seeks to repair the
world and make it more compassionate and peaceful. (Tikkun Olam)
