APPLICATION PROCESS
All applications are completed on Augustana’s Studio
Abroad website: http://augustana.studioabroad.com.
The same site will be used for all required
predeparture documents and orientation materials.
All programs have a primary application period
(September 10 – February 10) with an extended
period (February 11 – May 10) for those programs
which do not reach their capacity in the primary
period. As many programs will close after the primary
application period, we recommend all students apply
during the primary period.
DURING THE PRIMARY PERIOD: Students pay only
the $100 nonrefundable application fee at that time.
The $200 deposit, which applies to the cost of the
program, is required as confirmation only after a

away scholarships will not typically be available for a
J-term program due to the short duration and single
course nature of the programs.
REFUND & WITHDRAWAL
The $100 application fee is nonrefundable.
All other fees may be fully or partially refundable
dependent upon the time of withdrawal. A full refund &
withdrawal policy is available on the Augustana Study
Away website and at the IOP Office. Copies of the
Refund & Withdrawal Policy will be included in the
acceptance letter for all programs. Each Augustana
program abroad has a Refund Guarantee Deadline,
beyond which students are not guaranteed a full
refund of their program fees. This deadline is August
1 for all upcoming January or June J-Term programs.
