AMERICAS Childhood in the Developing World
J-TERM
OVERVIEW
Develop a deeper understanding of how cultural, economic
and social context influences development in children by
studying how this occurs in the developing world, and then
spend 2 weeks in Guatemala examining factors that impact
risk and resilience in the children of that nation. Students will
learn about education, trauma, child labor, community risks
and cultural differences.
