Semester Internships in Washington, D.C.

COURSES & CREDITS

Participants in the
semester internship
program enroll in one
core course which
transfers to Augustana
as a 4-credit Political
Science offering. They
also enroll in 12 credits of
INTR internship credit v
through CORE. With
permission of the
academic department,
students may opt to
receive 4 of these credits
through their major
department. This is often
possible through the SI
program of a department.

HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION

All student participants in the W.I.I. internship program are housed
The U.S. Library of in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, just across

Congress is the the Potomac from the District of Columbia. Each apartment
largest library in the features 2 double bedrooms, a shared living space, kitchen and
bathrooms. The facility also houses a modest exercise room,
world and is home to rooftop terrace with grill and en-suite laundry. The apartments are

6,000 books owned only a five minute walk to the Crystal City Metrorail stop, allowing
by avid reader many students to make their commute to the internship placement
in D.C. in 30 minutes or less.
