Constrictor knot with loop
The constrictor knot might be a
vicious beast in its original form,
but it can be tamed by the
addition of a simple drawloop.
It’s still more secure than a
clove hitch, and you won’t need
a knife to remove it. The perfect
compromise?

Diffi culty Tying but, after tucking the working end remaining turn to create the
Diffi culty Untying under the fi rst part of the original drawloop. Adjust the size of
Usefulness turn, put a bight in the end. the loop and tighten the knot.
